General
This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by The Travel Tinker (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply to specific sections of the Site or to products and services available through it. Accessing the Site in any manner, whether automated or otherwise, constitutes use of the Site and your agreement to these Terms.
The Site is a travel content website that publishes destination guides, travel tips, itineraries, and related planning resources. The Site also operates a shop section selling physical products, including alcohol advent calendars and other items. The information on this Site is intended for general informational purposes only and should not be treated as professional travel advice.
Orders and Purchases
When you place an order through our shop, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We will send you an email confirming the items you’ve ordered. Our acceptance of your order takes place when we dispatch it.
We reserve the right to refuse any order if:
- The product is out of stock or unavailable
- We cannot obtain authorisation of your payment
- There has been a pricing or product description error on the Site
- The order is to be delivered outside the UK, or to an area where delivery is not feasible
- The order contains personalised content that is threatening, indecent, obscene, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable
- We believe the order is intended for commercial resale or other inappropriate use
All products are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Alcohol Products
We sell alcohol products (including advent calendars) through our shop. By placing an order for any alcohol product, you confirm that both you and the intended recipient are aged 18 or over. We do not sell alcohol to anyone under 18.
We may request age verification at the point of delivery. If the recipient cannot verify they are 18 or over, the delivery may be refused.
For information about responsible drinking, visit www.drinkaware.co.uk.
Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us at [email protected] within the 14-day period.
You must return the product in its original condition and packaging at your own cost. Once we receive the returned item and confirm it’s in resaleable condition, we’ll issue a full refund including the original delivery charge (though we may deduct the cost of return shipping if we arranged collection).
Exceptions: Personalised items and perishable goods (including opened food or drink products) cannot be returned unless faulty.
Faulty or incorrect products: If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us within 30 days at [email protected]. We’ll arrange a replacement or full refund, including any return shipping costs.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
