Travel Budget Calculator

Plan your full trip budget in minutes, then save, share, or email it to yourself.

Not official advice. Estimates change as prices do, so always double-check bookings and local costs.

✅ Choose currency (USD/EUR/GBP)

✅ Add custom expenses

✅ Built-in contingency fund (0–20%)

How To Use This

Add trip basics (destination, days, travellers, currency)

Pick a travel style for estimates (Budget / Mid-range / Luxury)

Fill totals per category (or overwrite the estimates)

Add contingency (tiny safety net that saves big headaches)

Save, copy, or email your summary

Good to know: If you’re travelling as a couple/family, enter shared costs (hotel, car) as totals, and per-person stuff (food, tickets) as totals too. The calculator will split it cleanly.

Spend Less, Enjoy More

✅ Book your big fixed costs first (transport + stay), then build the daily budget around them.

✅ Add contingency early so you don’t pretend you’re a robot who never misses a train.

✅ If your daily number feels spicy, drop 1–2 paid activities and upgrade food instead.

💡 Most trips go over budget from lots of small stuff, not one giant disaster.

FAQs

Is this budget calculator official?

No, it’s a planning tool to help you estimate costs. Always confirm prices with airlines, hotels, and providers.

Because totals, daily averages, and per-person cost update instantly as you adjust inputs.

Not live exchange rates. It lets you choose a currency, but you should check your bank or a converter for today’s rate.

Use totals for shared costs (accommodation, car hire) and totals for group spending (food, attractions). The per-person figure will still help.

10–15% is a solid default for most trips. Higher if you’re visiting peak season or remote areas.
